Our camp is located about 300 miles southwest of Anchorage, in Katmai National Park, on the banks of the famous Naknek River. We have the incredible good fortune to be located within the boundary of Katmai National Park - arguably the best place in Alaska to visit on a photo safari.
The Johnsons boat to Brooks Camp and the famous Brooks River at least once a week with clients for a once-in-a-life time experience viewing bears and fishing for trophy rainbows.
Margot Creek is another boat-out destination. You never know what you'll encounter. Fantastic rainbow and dolly fishing.
Fly outs are an option that should not be overlooked. Mid September is when Arctic Char are in their beautiful spawning colors at the Ugashik Narrows, a short 60 mile plane ride from camp.
